New Friend

So I had our piano tuned yesterday and Matthew made a new friend. It was too funny. The guy got out all of his tools so Matthew ran and got his little screwdriver and sat down on the bench next to him. Luckily, this little old man was really nice and didn't seem to mind the company!

Garden

Living in Montana taught me that I love to garden...flowers, veggies, you name it! So we are trying it out here and I am a little worried about the heat and the rock hard soil. My Grandma Gooch had an excellent garden in Phoenix, so I figure we can do it here too! So far things are going well! As long as I can keep the neighborhood cat and 2 little boys out I think that it just might work. Maybe I will get enough tomatoes to can and then I won't have to bum any off my in-laws :o)

We had some extra plants so we put them in some pots. This is Matthew saying, "Woo-hoo, we did it!"

Apparently Brayden isn't completely cured from eating dirt. I couldn't keep his hands out of the soil. I promise I do feed him!

San Diego

Here are some pictures from our fun trip to San Diego! Nate had to work on Thursday so the boys and I tagged along to enjoy a nice weekend full of "nice" weather. Ha! It was windy and cold most of the time. All I could think was this is San Diego, it is supposed to be 80 and sunny all year long! Oh well, it warmed up here and there for us and we had fun anyway!

Saturday (the day it was supposed to be the nicest 80 degrees and just a little windy) this is what the beach looked like when we first showed up.

Luckily it cleared up after a few hours and we actually got a little sunburned too!

Brayden was our little sandman. I followed him all around the beach trying to keep him from eating sand but he was too quick. He got his fill and the second day we were there he only ate 1 fist full of sand. Silly boy!

We buried Matthew's legs in the sand like 20 times and each time it was hilarious to him. And then we buried Nate's legs, Lesley's feet and Brayden's feet. We love the beach, so much entertainment!

End of a long day? Nope, we had just pulled into the parking lot at Sea World!

The boys did great during all of the shows. Brayden slept through the ones during the day and danced through the one at night (once I figure out how to upload videos, I will post it. It is pretty funny!)

I am still trying to train Brayden to wear a hat. He is always trying to pull it off. He couldn't quite get it off here and it was making him a little frustrated!

Whales, fish, sharks who needs any of that when you have a little bit of cement?

Brayden was the only one who cooperated and looked and smiled when I tried to take pictures. I can't even begin to tell you how many pictures I have of the back of Matthew's head!

Our one and only family picture! I can't believe everyone is actually looking at the camera!

Dishwasher Helper

Brayden loves the dishwasher! We can't keep him away. He can literally hear the dishwasher open from anywhere in the house and even when he is outside! He quickly comes and gives all the silverware another rinse :)

Real Cowboy

We bought these cowboy boots for Matthew before we left Montana. They are still a few sizes too big for him but he still loves to wear them. He walks all over the house telling me that he is a real cowboy. And that he needs a real cowboy hat. Apparently real cowboys wear diapers too.

Grandparents

Nate's parents were here visiting a week ago. We had a blast with them. Nate's dad helped us get in the sandbox and fix up our backyard. We also got in some shopping. We went to the Hoover Dam, Bonnie Springs (an old western town), and the Freemont Street experience. Fun was had by all. And Matthew is still sad that Grandma and Grandpa had to go "bye bye on the airplane!"

Sorry for the pictures being crazy, I am still trying to figure this out!

Here we go!

This is going to be an adventure! I am feeling really computer illiterate right now. Staying at home for the past 3 years all I do is check my email! So all of you experienced bloggers, any advice would be very helpful! Thanks!
